Product description Beef

Henk Broeders has four large stables near Berkel Enschot, in the sacred surroundings of the Trappist monastery, where a total of 1,000 beef cattle are housed. He keeps almost all of his cattle in animal-friendly deep litter stalls. There are also cattle in the pasture. These are mainly for reproduction with young cattle. The beef cattle are kept for beef production. This is done with great care and love for the animal. Reliability, safety and recognisability are Henk’s top priorities.

Land use The manure of the animals, mainly Blonde d'Aquitaine and Limousin cattle, adheres to the straw on which the animals live. The deep litter manure is spread on our own land. The humus layer works like a sponge. Straw decomposes slowly and therefore releases nutrients in doses. The crops (including sugar beets, wheat, corn) pass these nutrients on to the animals. Recycling of manure into feed takes place around the farm.
